Also here at the exhibition, Ulyanovsk Instrument Manufacturing Design Bureau (UIMDB, part of Aircraft Engineering Concern) is demonstrating the KBO-17 avionics package for the new helicopter.
17.05.2012During the first day of HeliRussia 2012, Russian Helicopters is presenting the Kamov Ka-62 twin-turbine medium utility helicopter.
17.05.2012The Ukrainian engine maker Ivchenko-Progress is showcasing the D-136-2 turboshaft engine at HeluRussia 2012. The powerplant is designed to power the upgraded Mil Mi-26T2 heavy-lift helicopter, which is currently undergoing flight tests with standard D-136 engines.

17.05.2012The project to set up the Petersburg Engines production centre for helicopter powerplants is under way in the settlement of Shuvalovo in St Petersburg. The completion date is set for May or June this year. The United Engine Corporation is erecting the new facility on an outlying industrial area belonging to its subsidiary Klimov plant.
17.05.2012Russian Helicopters’ Moscow Helicopter Plant is set to begin flight trials of the new Mil Mi-38 helicopter with Russian Klimov TV7-117V turboshafts in June this year.
17.05.2012The Ukrainian engine maker Motor Sich is offering its new TV3-117VMA-SBM1V Series 4E turboshaft (also known as TV3-117VMA-SBM4V) as a re-engining option for Mil Mi-8T helicopters. The earlier TV2-117 version installed on these rotorcraft is too underpowered for unrestricted operations in mountainous regions.
17.05.2012Russian Helicopters has posted strong results for 2011, reporting a 12.5% year-on-year increase in IFRS net profit to 7 billion rubles ($238 million at the current exchange rate) and a 27.8% growth in revenue to 103.9 billion rubles.
